Is your kitchen hard to use?
Not enough storage. Poor lighting. Nowhere to put anything down. A layout that puts the fridge, the sink, and the stove in a line you have to walk three times to make dinner.
We plan the kitchen around how you actually cook, clean, and store food. The finished room is easier to use, not just newer to look at.

What goes into a kitchen renovation
Layout
We plan where the fridge, sink, stove, and prep space sit so you are not walking back and forth. Sometimes that means moving a wall. Often it does not.
Cabinets and storage
Drawers instead of low cupboards you have to kneel at. Pull-outs for pots. A place for the recycling that is not the floor.
Counters
Quartz, granite, or laminate depending on your budget and how hard you use the kitchen. We explain what each one costs to live with, not just to buy.
Lighting
Light over the counters where you actually chop, not one fixture in the middle of the ceiling casting your own shadow onto the cutting board.
Plumbing and wiring
New circuits for the appliances, proper outlets, and any plumbing that has to move. Our own electricians and plumbers do this.
Ventilation
A hood that actually vents outside. Many older Toronto kitchens recirculate the air and the grease ends up on the cabinets.
"Very different from a previous renovation firm that disappeared halfway through the job. Victorian Renovations was respectful and transparent from day one."
Bill A. — York

How much does a kitchen renovation cost in Toronto?
These are planning ranges, not quotes. We give you a fixed price after we see the kitchen.

Refresh - same layout
$12,000 to $20,000
Mid-range - new cabinets and counters
$20,000 to $60,000
Luxury - custom work, layout changes
$60,000 – $80,000+
What moves the price: how many cabinets, the size and material of the counters, whether the layout changes, whether plumbing or wiring moves, and how much custom work is involved.
How long does a kitchen renovation take?
Design
Usually 1 to 3 weeks
Construction
Usually 3 to 6 weeks
Counter installation
Usually 1 to 3 weeks
Why the counters come last: Stone has to be measured after the cabinets are in and levelled, because a template taken any earlier will not fit. The slab is then cut and finished, which usually takes 7 to 14 business days. This is normal, and we tell you the date up front so you can plan around it.
What adds time: moving plumbing, adding electrical points, changing where the exhaust vents, appliances or finishes on special order, and structural changes.

How your kitchen renovation runs
01
Home visit
We come to your home, look at the space, and listen to what you want. You get a clear plan and an honest answer about what is possible.
02
Pricing and design
Our architect draws your design and we set a fixed price in writing. Nothing moves forward until you are happy with both.
03
Permits
If your project needs a permit, we prepare the drawings and file them with the city. You do not deal with the paperwork.
04
Construction
Our own trades build the job, and we book every inspection along the way. We finish with a walkthrough and a written warranty.
