How long will your renovation take?
Every basement is different, but you should still have a clear idea of what to expect.
This is a realistic timeline for a well planned renovation. Your final schedule will depend on the size of the space, the work involved, material availability, permits, inspections, and anything unexpected we find after construction begins.

Basement timelines can vary a lot. A simple open space will take less time than a basement with a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, structural work, or major mechanical changes.
Ontario gives municipalities set review periods for complete permit applications. For many residential projects, the initial review period is about 10 business days. However, the full process can take longer when information is missing, revisions are requested, or zoning approval is needed.
